Marc Bartel is the Managing Partner of the Heidrick & Struggles’ Paris office. He is also the Managing Partner of the Law Firm Practice and the EMEA leader of the Global Legal, Risk & Compliance Practice.

Prior to joining Heidrick & Struggles, Marc held various senior management positions (ranging from COO, Asia Regional Managing Partner to Deputy CEO) within leading international law firms such as Lovells, Linklaters and Jeantet. He was closely involved in the building of Lovells’ international network of offices spending much time in Asia and Europe, where he also contributed to the development of the client base within the banking market. Marc began his earlier career as a practicing attorney initially in Boston and then Paris. He had the opportunity of heading-up the first integrated European alliance of leading European law firms, before working as a management consultant at Hildebrandt in the USA.
